Pace and grace in San Fransisco

This power cat was built in NZ for a US client who has had a boat built here before to a very high standard and has returned to repeat the experience!

Construction is entirely foam cored composite, vacuum laminated over male tooling. Hull shell laminate includes Kevlar in the bottom skins for strength and toughness.

The internal layout is to the Owner’s brief and would be considered to be uncluttered and not cramped with the emphasis on plenty of comfort for two people and room for an extra two if required.

The flybridge is hard glazed but open at the back with a davit crane and storage for an inflatable dinghy.

Power supply is provided by a pair of Yanmar 380’s, remote mounted V drives, shafts and underwater props.

The electrical system is kept simple and straight fwd with a DC supply and an inverter for various low power appliances and AC outlets.

The cat is based in San Francisco and used for short day and weekend trips in the Bay area and for extended holidays up and down the West coast.
