13.6m Composite Planing Power Cat

13.6m Composite Planing Power Cat

High spec, speed, and comfort.

This planing power cat was built in NZ for a client based in the Seattle area of the North West US. Designed and built to a very demanding brief and high standard it has cruised extensively in those waters.

Construction is foam cored composite with no timber what so ever in the construction of the entire structure. Fitted with the full compliment of live aboard equipment and necessities including a custom hot air demisting system for all of the fwd and side windows, a feature required for cruising in that area.

The layout is geared around a spacious owner's side of the boat and a smaller but quite complete guest area on the stbd side. The flybridge has internal access from the saloon and features a large sliding sun roof.

Powered with a pair of 440 hp engines it has a top speed of 33 knots and is very economic for a planing vessel of this size in the 20 to 25 knot range. There is specific storage built into the boat for a spare prop shaft and propellors as the waters around the North West are notorious for their floting logs that routinely damage the underwater running gear.
