13.7m Semi Displacement Power Cat

13.7m Semi Displacement Power Cat

Long range cruising at 15 knots.

This semi displacement power cat was built in N.Z. for a U.S. client who has had several yachts built in NZ in the past.

Designed to a very specific brief it has an open flybridge with a ‘galley down’ interior layout which is quite unusual and only two sleeping cabins for the owner and guests, not a typical style of layout for an  NZ or Australian  based boat.

Powered by a pair of 330 hp engines she has a top speed of 25 knots and is very efficient at cruising speeds in the mid teens with the potential for very long range. A cruising speed of 15 knots gives a range of 680 NM.

Other features of this hull type is the shallow draft, prop protection and ‘beachability’.

Sea keeping, handling, stability, and maneuverability are be superb.

Construction is detailed for timber composite and plywood which is light weight and strong.
