9.5m Composite Planing Power Cat

9.5m Composite Planing Power Cat

High performance and spacious weekender

This small planing power cat was built in N.Z. for a U.S. client who has already had several yachts built in that country, the last of which was a 17.4m semi displacement cat.

Conceived as a day boat with weekending facilities in the form of a small galley, fwd cabin with large double, large enclosed heads with shower, quarter berth and plenty of comfortable seating in the cockpit.

Powered with 2 x 225hp outboards, top speed is 38 knots fully loaded and cruising at 25 knots fuel consumption is 2.3L per nautical mile.

Construction is foam cored, epoxy and Eglass hull and decks with a mixture of foam cored and ply internals.

This design is a similar boat to the 10.10m planing cat that is fitted with inboard diesels and is based in San Diego, California.

This is a similar design to the slightly longer inboard powered 10.1m which can be viewed here
